Spiced Maple Strawberries

300g (2 - 3 cups) fresh strawberries
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1 Tbsp maple or granulated sugar
pinch cinnamon
pinch cloves
pinch allspice
pinch black pepper

1. In a bowl mash 1/4 cup of the strawberries with a fork. Add the remaining ingredients and gentley mix until well combined.

2. Cover and set aside at room temperature for at least 30 minutes or in the fridge for at least one hour.

Storage: Try to avoid leaving the strawberries in the fridge for more than one day as they will become soggy. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
