I will act now. I will act now. I will act now. Henceforth, I will repeat these words each hour, each day, everyday, until the words become as much a habit as my breathing, and the action which follows becomes as instinctive as the blinking of my eyelids. With these words I can condition my mind to perform every action necessary for my success. I will act now. I will repeat these words again and again and again. I will walk where failures fear to walk. I will work when failures seek rest. I will act now for now is all I have. Tomorrow is the day reserved for the labor of the lazy. I am not lazy. Tomorrow is the day when the failure will succeed. I am not a failure. I will act now. Success will not wait. If I delay, success will become wed to another and lost to me forever. This is the time. This is the place. I am the person. - Og Mandino

Rome
June 30, 2003

I think I may have been a bit premature when declaring Paris the most beautiful city on earth. Like Paris, Rome has beautiful architecture, and a distinct grandiose feel to it.

For me, the tiebreaker goes to the people of Rome. The Italian girls have moved to the top of my 'most beautiful' list and everyone seems full of life and they love to smile.

To put them over the top, I think I would move to Italy for the food alone.

Early in the morning we lined up for Vatican City. Even at 7:30 A.M. there was already a long line. Getting into the Vatican is a bit like an airport, you are required to go through security checkpoints.

The highlight of Vatican City is Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel, but there are over 30 other impressively painted rooms as well.

Rome has countless plazas and monuments to check out and the 2 days we spent there wasn't nearly enough time.

My favorite site was the Colosseum, and taking the tour to learn about the history behind it is definitely worth it.

They say all roads lead to Rome and after seeing this incredible city I can see why.
